A Product Video Campaign To Reinforce Brand Superiority

For product companies, video is one of the most powerful ways to show your story and connect with customers. The key is strategy. One video can’t do it all, which is why creating videos with specific goals in mind is far more effective. Whether it’s explaining a product’s value, demonstrating how it works, or strengthening brand trust, the right approach makes all the difference.

WeatherPod was losing sales to look-alike competitors. Their pods were the original, made with higher quality and built to last, but customers didn’t always know the difference. Some users also struggled to fold their pods for storage, which sometimes led to the product being perceived as defective.

That’s where Spotted Yeti came in. Through our Discovery Process, we dug into what made WeatherPod unique and uncovered where customers were getting confused. From there, we developed Smart Video solutions to efficiently produce a suite of videos that showcased the brand's real value, helping buyers understand the difference and use their pods with confidence.

A Strategy Built to Scale

To achieve WeatherPod’s goals, we developed a multi-channel video strategy centered on three core objectives: increasing brand awareness, educating customers, and highlighting the values that set WeatherPod apart. We then outlined specific video types to meet each objective.

  1. Brand Recognition with Awareness Ads
    We produced awareness ads for OTT, social media, and Amazon to boost visibility and reinforce WeatherPod as the original, trusted brand.

  2. Product Benefits in Product Videos
    We created product-focused videos to showcase the quality, durability, and unique benefits of WeatherPod products. These videos appear on Amazon, shopweatherpod.com, and other retail platforms to support shoppers at the point of purchase.

  3. Highlighting Product Differences in Comparison Videos
    We developed a comparison video to demonstrate how WeatherPod outperforms cheaper alternatives, helping buyers recognize the value behind their premium choice.

  4. Reducing Returns with Tutorial Videos
    We produced short tutorial videos for the WeatherPod website and product packaging via QR code. These videos guide customers through the correct way to fold and store their pods, reducing confusion, preventing unnecessary returns, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Seamless Execution & Smart Resource Allocation

In order to optimize our single day of production, we ran two video teams and hosted a photographer. This streamlined approach enabled us to maximize the budget and number of deliverables:

  • (4) Awareness Ads
  • (1) Tutorial Video
  • Over 75 still product images
  • Additional video assets for future campaigns

Thanks to our team’s efficiency, the post-production timeline wrapped up in a month—allowing WeatherPod to get their new content out quickly and start driving sales results right away.

A Collaborative Success

This project highlighted the power of collaboration. Working side-by-side with the WeatherPod team, we aligned our creative vision with their goals. By sharing feedback and building on ideas together, we turned challenges into meaningful and impactful solutions that showcased what makes WeatherPod unique.

Since the completion of this project, WeatherPod requested additional content for Google Ads.  We were able to reformat the ads in under a week at a budget-friendly price point—proving that starting smart will optimize your time and budget.
